RIPPLE – HEM – 2014

Ripple is a coatrack based on two intersecting lines of a sine wave. A piece of corrugated sheet metal is intersect by two differently angled cutting planes. Each angle determines the amplitude of its wave. The two cuts constitute Ripple’s three-dimensionality and provide hooks for coats and jackets. A quick pencil stroke on the wall, a scribble — the first and last note left for guests. Elegant and continuous, Ripple embodies the ideas of a minimal ornament.
